Green Woods Charter School Ms. Urban- 5th Grade 2018-2019
Feb. 7, 2019
The presentation schedule for our colonial project is below. Students chose what day next week they would like to present to the class. Students do not have to bring in their project items until it is their day. However, if they would like to keep their project here in class until it is their day to present, they are more than welcomed to! Students who are not prepared to present on the day they signed up for will lose 10 points each day until the project is ready to be presented.
Presentations will be next week: Monday, Feb. 11 - Friday, Feb. 15

You were just given your first Social Studies project of the year! Woo-hoo!! Each of you should have a hard copy of the directions for your Colonial Job Project, and everyone should have picked a trade/job as of today. I have included a hyperlink below that gives you access to those same directions online, as well as access to click on the links. If the links within the directions do not work, that is okay, those were just starter links for you. It is your job to find reliable sources to help you understand your colonial job/trade to the best of your ability!
If you have any questions or need a task clarified, just come and ask!
I would like to wish all of my families a very happy and healthy New Year! I hope that everyone had a restful break, and a wonderful holiday!
I wanted to reach out to our parent community in regards to some items students will need to replenish for the new year. I am asking that students bring in additional pencils and glue sticks (or bottles) for themselves to use for the remainder of the year. We have just about run out of pencils for the classroom, so anything that students bring in will be strictly for themselves, where they can keep the excess in their locker and restock their pencil case when needed. Any type of pencil is okay with me: mechanical, one with designs, etc.. I spoke to the class about making sure they take care of their supplies, especially pencils since we have gone through A LOT in just 4 months.
If you have any questions, please feel free to send me an email!
Thank you, Ms. Urban
